i) You are right, though I think in order to export and have your produce label organic, they have a certification process that takes into account the farming practices, esp. the use of pesticides. For Kenyan farmers to know how to get their stuff certified Organic is one of the goals of KOAN - In effect encouraging export of our horticultural goods (Note- I am not affiliated with KOAN but I am sure they can answer any other questions if you have any do post them) Thanks.
